Forthill Fine Foods
In 1993 we developed the building adjacent to The Horseshoe into
a butchers and delicatessen called Forthill Fine Foods. From there
we have established a dedicated supply of quality assured local meat
products for Forthill Fine Foods and also that of The Horseshoe and
Saddlers Restaurant.
The main concept behind Forthill Fine Foods was, if you could not
come to the Saddlers Restaurant then you could still enjoy the high
quality cuisine that we offer in the restaurant at home.
Within the butchery department, top quality lamb, beef and pork, are
all cut and prepared by an experienced butcher, Mr. Graeme Breen.
Stuffed roasts and joints are also available at the butchery counter
where free range chickens are stocked. Forthill Fine Foods is happy
to prepare orders for private house functions and parties and also
welcomes orders for freezer packs.
The extremely palatable delicatessen has a delightful range of fresh
home-made dishes, including various lasagnes, scotch eggs, pates,
quiches, breaded garlic mushrooms, Cornish pasties, crepes, natural
honey and chicken kiev's and chasseurs. This display of fine home-cooked
foods benefits from the expertise of Saddlers Restaurant chefs and
is freshly prepared daily, proving beneficial for those who home freeze.
Convenient barbeque packs are another speciality at the establishment,
when customers can order a special barbeque take-home pack, including
meats, salads and breads, suitable for example for two, four or six
persons. It may also prove particularly beneficial for holidaymakers,
such as those people on cruisers, caravanning or camping trips.
Customers are welcome to call in and order freshly filled baguettes
and sandwiches - prepared from the large selection of fresh meats
and salads.
Forthill Fine Foods carries an exciting range of unusual foods including
a wide variety of pasta products, various rice's, and a selection
of honeys, jams and chutneys.
Another innovative idea is the availability of a wide range of gift
baskets suitable for every occasion - from Mother's Day and Father's
Day to Christmas and birthdays.
Forthill Fine Foods prepares buffets and fork dinners that could either
be collected or delivered from Forthill Fine Foods.
